Negative Resistance Training Aug 31

negative resistance training

How to balance endurance and strength?

Check out this info from Wikipedia:

“Training for endurance can have a negative impact on the ability to exert strength unless an individual also undertakes resistance training to counteract this effect.”

Ok, I LOVE to run, so would doing that make me physically weaker, but in return let me have the ability to stand below freezing for 10 days plus and still survive?

If that’s true, then what are some ways I can utilize both trainings?

Also, what are some ways to build bigger biceps and triceps without having to use machines or the gym?

well, theyre two different schools of thought. you said running, so take for example sprinters and long-distance runners. look at their physiques, and youll see a stark contrast. sprinters have big, muscular bodies, because they need it to exert a lot of energy and quickly. distance runners are very lean, with considerably less muscle, but they can run for a long time. so no, i would have to say your theory wouldnt be true in the situation described.

triceps – do dips or declinded pushups
biceps – pullups/chinups
