Resistance Strength Training Aug 24

resistance strength training

Does resistance training build size or strength?

I always thought it increased strength but now I’m not so sure.

resistance training can and will add size and strength if done correctly. just like using free weights or machines, you must lift enough weight to break down the muscles. the main problem for beginners is resistance bands requires you to use the stabilizer muscles(little muscles) to control the band. therefore, taking the focus of the larger muscle your trying to work. this is a good thing, but should be used later on in more advanced training.
If just starting out, concentrate on building the larger muscle groups by using free weights or machines. this will help isolate the major muscle groups. as you become more advanced then i would incorporate some band exercises to complete the muscle group.

hope this helps
