cellulite looks worse since losing weight
![]()

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you what cellulite is since it seems to be everyone’s worst nightmare. The dimpled cottage skin that appears on hips and love handles after puberty is definitely a menace, but it can still be managed. Cellulite is caused by the expansion of fat cells after weight gain. The cells run out of room within the connective tissue and beneath the skin, so they just bulge out in unsightly lumps.
What Causes Cellulite?
As far as I know, there is no clear-cut cause of cellulite, but there are a number of factors that play a role. For example, heredity, gender, hormones, and lifestyle. Since there is no all-purpose reason why it occurs, there is no cut and dry solution. You will just have to use trial and error until you find what works for you.
The first thing you should consider is changing your diet because eating too much of the wrong foods leads to the problem of cellulite. For example, stay away from processed foods and foods high in saturated fat.
Eat raw fruits and vegetables and avoid alcoholic and carbonated beverages.
Drink lots of water in order to clear up your skin and avoid salty foods because they make you retain fluids.
Reduce the amount of toxins that you ingest because they can build up in your body and result in harmful side effects such as cellulite formation. Some examples of toxins are cigarettes, too much alcohol, too much caffeine, etc.
The best way to reduce your body’s fat content is to exercise, so make sure you follow a healthy workout regimen.
Here’s an interesting remedy: caffeine is known to reduce the appearance of cellulite because it increases circulation and (temporarily) lifts the skin, so look for lotions and creams that contain caffeine or just rub coffee grounds on your skin.
Use a loofah or some sort of dry brush to massage your skin in an upward motion towards your heart in order to increase circulation.
Laser therapy has become a very popular treatment, but it can be costly so think long and hard before committing to this.
Liposuction is another option, but I would only recommend surgery after lengthy discussions with a physician who knows your medical history.

I have a lot of cellulite and I’m only 19?
I’ve been overweight my whole life, and I just recently started losing weight. The highest I weighed was 270, and now I’m about 195, so I still have more to go, but what sucks is this horrible sag and cellulite all over my legs! It seems the more I lose the worse it gets. I’m not exaggerating one bit when I say that my legs look like they belong to a 90 year old woman.
I’m not sure what I can do about it. I’m trying to exercise more, I’m trying to drink more water. Is there anything I can do? I’m only 19, but I’ve never really experienced what it was like to like my body because I’ve been pretty much obese my whole life. I figured once I started slimming down I’d like myself more but I don’t. It’s just getting worse. And since I’m only 19 and I have this ridiculous amount of cellulite now, it’s only going to get worse.
I mean, I didn’t have hardly any cellulite when I was 270 pounds!
Help! Please.
Firstly congratulation on your weight loss. It is great that you have taken action and you are getting amazing results you are an inspiration. Now for the important bit
If you have cellulite on your thighs there are 3 strategies you need to implement to get results. First, it’s good if you have a gym membership, as it allows you to perform specific exercises to your cellulite area. Remember to really target the cellulite area with the exercises. like leg curls: laying on the leg curl machine and bring your ankle to your glutes. your also want to be doing some cardiovascular exercises like jogging or riding the bike these will burn the fat in the problem area and tone the area. Remember that you don’t need a gym membership. But it can help .
Along with exercising you need to changing your diet. There’s no need to go on a diet you just need to make some simple changes. Like removing as much saturated fat and foods that contain a lot of toxins. these fats and toxins make the fat cells in your cellulite zone become larger they also cluster and group together causing the appearance of dimples on the skins surface. Really you want to be eating foods that help you detox. But there’s no need for a full blown detoxing diet you just need to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.
lastly, this can be the difference between decent results and great results. You need a cellulite cream. why? because the cellulite has damaged you skins connective tissues and cell structure. Thus giving your skin less elastin or tightness. exercising and dieting can’t give you the required properties needed to repair you tissues and cell structure. A cellulite cream will also improve your skins elasticity and smoothness. one of the most reputable cellulite cream’s on the market is revitols cellulite cream. it works very well 100% natural and 100% safe, no prescription needed and they have a money back guarantee. it’s available at http://www.naturalskincaretreatments.com
