Resistance Training First

resistance training first

how did your child first potty training outing go?

where did you go? how long where you there? how often did you take your child to the potty? was there any resistance? did you child have an accident? what advice would you give a mother who is potty training her child for outings?

4th of july, we’re having a cook out at the park and staying for the firework. should i put on a pull-up or continue potty training?

we’ve been hard core potty training for about a month and the last 3 weeks no accidents except if i forget to turn on the bathroom light in the evening. i say hard core potty training because we introduced the potty at 18 months and never really pushed it till last month. he is now 21 months and yesterday we tried an outing to the library without diapers and he didn’t have any accidents i was so proud of him. but we only stayed for an hour. tomorrow we will try the grocery store. (fingers crossed)

Most kids aren’t ready until closer to age three but sounds like yours is doing well. I would just pack a backpack with extra change of underwear, clothes, and shoes…just in case. If you put him back into a pullup, it could confuse him.
When potty training my twins, I was worried about the same thing and would put them in pullups if we were going out for extended periods and they both backtracked.

OK, we won’t waste your time any longer…
