Resistance Training Weight

resistance training weight

just started working at the gym, for 1 week. cardio & some resistance weight training..my weight has gone up ?

my regime, 30 mins cardio, jogging at about 7kph. the crunches, squats and some back strengthening exercises..
my weigh however has gone up 2 kg in the last 10 days … what gives!?!?! ..:(

One possibility…have you been eating more? I know that its common to start working out and think “Well, Im working out now….so I can eat a little more.” The running you are doing at your speed is perfect. I know this sounds cliche, but start eating healthier. For example…if you like white bread, switch to wheat. If you drink pop, switch that with water, etc. etc. Keep this in mind…if you are taking in 2000 calories (average adult intake) per day and you work off only 400 calories…..there is your answer.

For those people who say “Muscle weighs more than fat” ..they are correct. But if you have only been working out one week..chances are…you have not gained that much muscle. I am just trying to be honest with you. I work with a trainer, I know what I am talking about.
