adult cellulite
Uncomfortable body situation (BDD) in my relationship…?
I am fairly certain (and I have been told by one of my ex’s in the past that he felt I had this) that I suffer from BDD (BodyDysmorphicDisorder). I am very uncomfortable with certain areas of my body and it makes me feel very ugly/gross. I have never been told that there is anything wrong with me besides when I was a child I was very skinny/stickly and people would call me anorexic, which really took a toll on me and would upset me greatly and I also suffered from mild acne. But as an adult, I have always been told that I am pretty/beautiful/cute/sexy/etc. As with most people who suffer from BDD, there are good days and bad. Anyways, I have been with my current boyfriend for 9 months and I CANNOT show him my backside. I feel like my thighs/butt are GIGANTIC and cellulite ridden and I don’t want him to see it. I will literally position my body in the ways to keep him from seeing it. It’s ridiculous. I’m afraid he will think I’m disgusting. It kind of upsets him, IDK what to do…
I think you need to see a professional. After all, self diagnosis isn’t really a good thing. You need to talk to someone who is actually qualified to diagnose you with BDD and then help you either with therapy or medication or both. This isn’t really something you can cure by yourself, even with the help of Yahoo Answers.
