I just joined Ballys and I been going three days a week to do weight lifting/resistance training. I do cardio the other 4 days at home.

Soy is one of the most ‘over promoted’ food product. It’s promoted because it’s cheap and very high in protein. The problem is the fact that the naturally occurring hormones in soy products can be dangerous for your health. Also, excess proteins are a detriment to your health, not a benefit.

Whey protein is derived from cow milk. This product along with other dairy foods have been proven to promote the growth of cancers in rats and humans. (T. Colin Campbell) The hormones in dairy also promote rapid growth and in contraindicated if your goal is to lose weight.

In the 1940s and 1950s, scientists confirmed the fact that high protein diets caused rapid growth of laboratory animals. What we learned later was the fact that rapid growth tended to have negative health effects and a shorter life expectancy. This has been confirmed over and over again (“The China Study”). The food industry continues to promote high protein as healthy, but the fact is, a lower protein diet based upon vegetable proteins is optimal.
