US Army Fitness Training- What to Do?
I’m intent on getting into the Army as soon as possible, and can’t imagine doing anything else. Less than a week ago I started working on the APFT requirements. I’ve managed to drop my 2 miles run time from 25 minutes down to 18 (15 minutes 54 seconds required), and pushups and situps are rising steadily as well. I’ve also started lifting two eight pound weight whenever my hands are free. However, I know it’s going to be more than just running, pushups, and situps. What other things do I need to work on and how? Also, I’m very warm-blooded, and so while cold is remarkably comfortable, I’ve found that heat (~75 F or 24 C) takes it out of me quickly. Is there some way to increase heat resistance (for lack of a better term)?
Thanks in advance.
Practice…practice…practice along with a good diet and proper rest and you will get there.
